I have found- through experience- that more than one VCM on your computer may cause you problems. Your problem sounds like it may be a Virtual Comport Manager (VCM) Problem. may be there is a issue with the driver compatibiliy to Windows 10? Another possibility will be that the HRD 6.3 version has a problem with Windows 10. I do not know if the problem will be Windows 10, or may be the 1258 drivers. So I want to ask if anyone has the same problems. But before updating to Windows 10 and HRD 6.3 the frequency readout works. But if I change the frequency in the radio panel of HRD the frequency at the remote station and K3 mini will be changed. But if I tune on the K3 mini to another frequency the QRG on the HRD radio panel will not follow. The second problem is as follow: After starting HRD and connect to the K3 mini with the COM port for CAT the connection will be established and the frequency will be read out once and shown in the radio panel of HRD.

I try updateing the drivers but without any positiv result.

But in the USB port selection of HRD CW/RTTY setting some ports will be offered for the selection - like the K3 mini ports - but not the ports of the 1258.

But in the device control I see the 4 COMs of the 1258 and also the 2 COMs of the K3 mini. The first problem is that I can not see the virtual COM ports of the RRC 1258 in HRD settings any more - for example for setting up CW RTS keying of RTTY FSK. I am using K3 mini connected to the 1258 for the RHR service. Hello, I upgrade my PC from Win 7 to Win 10 and also update HRD to the latest version 6.3.
